Introduction

Education is the basic need of public and society. The individuals can improve its social and economic level through education. Education is the key of success in development of any nation. We can choice over potential, and can play over role in society. Education is also providing employment opportunities. An educated person can help and serves the public and society. “Experts believe that minimum 70 percent literary rate is essential for entailing and sustaining economic growth and development in a society”. (Doctor Hamid Iqbal)
“Pakistan is among the most densely populated countries of the world. Currently, over 180 million people reside here making it the sixth most popular country of the world. Pakistan one of the lowest literacy rate in the world and according to the united nations educational, scientific and cultural organization(UNESCO) it is 55 % and Pakistan stands at 160th  in total  countries of the world”( UNESCO Report)
Now you observe the educational position of Gilgit Baltistan from independence to till. After independence of 15 days, Gilgit Baltistan affiliated with Pakistan. According to the deference researches at that time there was no any educational system in GB.

The people of Gilgit Baltistan were moving to other cities of Pakistan because to get the education. Like, Karachi and Peshawar etc. the students get basic education from efferent cities of Pakistan and they come back to GB. They get start to teaching to their children and sublimes. Thus, create more awareness about education, then the public feel that we must have educational institutions. At that time there were no any government setup in GB and nor any representative in senate or national assembly that they can inter role in GB. After several years, the government of Pakistan continues the basic education system in GB. At the beginning only primary and middle schools were constructed and start to separate education. Timely these primary and middle schools upgraded to high schools.

Gradually the private sectors play their role to contribute and separation of education in GB, e.g. AKF and deference NGOs. We are proud on AKF for their involvement in our educational system and yet to they play their role to provide the modern and technical education.

“ the first three primary schools in Northern Areas established by the political agents in early as 1983 in Gilgit, Astor and Gupis. Until 1940s the government was solve provider of formal education in Northern Areas. In 1946 the first 17 Diamond Jubilee schools were established by Aga Khan Foundation”. (Doctor Hamid Iqbal)

With the passage of time the government were continuously changed in deferent eras and deferent political parties take the govern ship in Pakistan. The Political leader changed the educational policies and introduced new educational system for their own interests.

According to the history that there was another important issue arising in education system of Gilgit Baltistan, that the females were totally deprive form the education. There has been less awareness among the people about female education. Gradually the local communities begun struggle for the female education especially the Ismaili communities. “In 1981 female literary rate was estimated fewer than three per cent as compared to the 16 percent total literary in Pakistan”. (Doctor Hamid Iqbal)

Literature review

For my research project, I review some articles of research experts. Like “The school importance in Pakistan” by Zubeda Bana, she writes down briefly about importance of education.

“Education in Gilgit and Baltistan” is a brief article written by Doctor Humid Iqbal. He discusses the whole education system in Gilgit Baltistan. The key words of the article are education background, education system, literary overview, and problems.

The international news reports, UNESCO reports about the GB education. The reports explain literary issue, the international ranking of literary, and the involvement of government and private institution in concern areas.

Rational

The research finds the problems that create interference in the development of quality and equal education in Gilgit Baltistan.

It is true that any nation can sublimate economically, technologically and industrially through education, then why we cannot improve our educational system. Today there is a competition arising between the nations in the field of new technological invents. In the worlds many countries arrives climaxed through the quality education. Education is the identity of any nation; a person cannot survive without education in the modern era. We can communicate and share over personal interest with worlds. Therefore, we should also prefer the quality education, every person GB can stand itself. We have to present over identity, and ability. Through the researches, documentary, news and articles the responsible departments have to dig out the issue and problems that are arising in education field, and solve them urgently. It is must for the government to play its vital role in development and sublimate field in the society.

·         That indicates the role of involvement of the government and the private organization in educational system.
·         Why education is important for everyone
·         If there is no quality education, then how is responsible.
·         How can we get over educational rights form the responsible department?
·         How every person can play his personal role to separation of education?

Objectives

·         What are the problems and issue behind the contribution of quality and equal education in Gilgit Baltistan?

·         In education field which organizations or departments or get more attention in GB? What are the strategies that they are following for spreading education in GB?

·         What is the best manner for providing quality education in Gilgit Baltistan?

Methodology

The research related to our survival society, and we can analysis our social situation. The more research data that I collect form my siblings in general discussing. The most help full sources for data collection are the researches of different expert. The experts are already writing down some helpful article about the education system of Gilgit Baltistan.

Almost some social information that I collect through my own self, I observe the education system of over district level. To analysis the enrollment of government and private organization and the public interest in change of education system, we collect further data for the research.

Expected outcome

Through the research, we can found the issue and the problems. This research can aware the people of Gilgit Baltistan about the educational issue. We can check literacy our percentage and dig out the weakness points of education.

The research compares our educational system with the developed countries, and we can judge our educational policies, education budgets. Through this type of research, the equal and quality education can introduce and future can be change. Another importance outcome of research is get attention of the national and international NGOs. They funded to the establishment of new educational institution, and give the scholarship for students that they are financially weak and cannot sustain their educational carrier.
